New OSHA requirements for elevator hoist beams?

Good morning. I have a project currently under construction and received elevator shop drawings for review. I had provided an single elevator hoist beam over two (2) elevator shafts with two (2) hoist loads simultaneously on the hoist beam on the design drawings. However, the elevator shop...

    1960s era joist

@jerseyshore The designation is on an architectural (!) design drawings. The drawing is dated 05/15/70. I have attached a screen clip.https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=7e2bf90d-61a9-43b4-a14e-195cd0ea7332&file=60G22_Screen_Clip.jpg

    1960s era joist

@JAE Thank you for your reply. Looking at the top/bottom chord sections for the GWS joist do match what I observed in the field. Interesting that they used hat sections for the chords. I don't believe I have ever seen that.

    1960s era joist

@robyengIT Thank you for your reply. I actually have that catalog from another school project I worked on. Unfortunately, the Haven-Busch joists have WT sections as top and bottom chords. The joist I am looking at now have double angle top and bottom chords.

    1960s era joist

Working on a job in South Carolina to determine capacities of existing joists. Most I have had to measure and search the historical SJI tables. But, for one gymnasium we have drawings that specify a 60G22 steel joist for the roof framing. The span is approximately 101'-0". They are spaced at...

SEISMIC LOAD ON POST IN TANK

I need some code advise. We have been asked to perform anchor bolt certification for seismic loading on a tripod supporting a hanging floater in an in-ground wastewater treatment tank. Each leg of the tripod is anchored to the concrete base with (4) - 1/2" diameter bolts. The hanging floater...
