Good question for assembly components.
There are other ways to organize component. Special studies may merit moving components to other layers.
I prefer to leave the components on original layers.
For drawings, you can use Hide Component in a view. You can also add a component by itself in...
This is an known complex edge issue, but not always an issue for edge blend.
It may be helpful to offset, the pad wall face so 4 edges don't align.

Sorry, I haven't accessed mold wizard in over 15ys.
The new thing that I can suggest is under extract.
Change view to the direction of projection; go to Extract Curve and choose Precise Outline. Someone pointed this out to me. Works great.
There should be a new Box function in pre/post

Try
in the file you want to apply your customer default,

This is the steps. There are many was to achieve a projected area.
1. Extract the curves of the outline area to be calculated
Use Extract Curve or maybe Composite Curve
2. Project curves to a plane that is Normal to the direction of projection
This can be a Datum or a planer surface that can be...
I ran into the same problem. no journal, so for myself, I just made a simple macro and created a user command then stuck it in the Background Color drop down. Black and white.
But now I will try Toost visualization template. I always wanted too, so thanks

I cant respond to all your issues for now. I just want to post somthing. Maybe someone els can chime in
Here are some ideas:
If you are etching on a product, use Modern font works for a single line etch. Our experience is many tool shop cant use the 3D etch data well (maybe because of restricted...
One day I had a meeting with some UGS people and they thought using layers was a waste of time. I was not happy to here the rumor that NX was going away from use of layers. I could not understand putting the thousands of geometry, used to create a component with a lot of detail, on one layer...

I’ve often use one Fixed for the first Sketch, then I use Position dimensions.
What have I been doing wrong all these years?
Or why do you not use Fix Constraints?
More, because not sure about the shape you want.
After mjcole's recommended Extrude - Offset Surface of outer face, trim extrusion to create a cylinder floor.
Extract Sheet, Trimmed Sheet, Thicken then Subtract.
Will pocket work?
If you go the program route and you are not in TCE, I would recommend not using a Save As template but a program that creates the data or import from template so as to take advantage of the UID protection in the file and the objects start in the current NX Kernel and the template would not leave...
