You can change the color of the entire sketch for viewing outside of the sketch. This should be done after finishing the sketch, right click on sketch, edit display.

I was indicating that a save as (and save unique) doesn't grab the new template, so this fix would only work for newly created files. I think that we are saying the same thing.

Yes unless of course a save as or make unique operation is used. I thought that this was tried before by our previous cad administrator and it didn't "stick." I will try this again, thanks.

We show flat patterns on our fabrication sheets.
We manually change the .2 below to .0 to hide trailing zero's as we program and bend to even angle increments almost exclusively.
Is there a way to change this in customer defaults somewhere and make it a site standard?

I see this a lot. Try Simplify Curve? (Menu-Insert-Derived Curve-Simplify Curve). You can also reference or project into a sketch and the recreate using constrained geometry as you wish.

Long shot for sure. If you just generate the part family parts you can have a preview of each at least. If the naming conventions is some common prefix with a suffix for example, the Engineer could then scroll through them and view the previews instead of adding component from the part family...
I think Cowski may have missed the PMI part. You are looking at the drafting standard but you are trying to change PMI display. The same menu is in the PMI settings under hole callout.

Here's a technique that I came up with that might be able to be applied. I use what I call a drive sketch and a driven sketch. The drive sketch is created using input parameters (user expressions). The results are then associatively measured to create new expressions. Equations are written...
There is a coordinate system in the deformable part but it is not a used feature in the deformation definition. I feel that the deformed body is defined at a point in space and time. The result is the component moves but the deformed body remains and its old position resulting it what appears...
Good thought but the original constrained component does not fail. It is the bodies of the patterned components that fail. The non deformed portion of the body and the deformed portion separate.

An associate had a scenario where he had to deform a part in his assembly.
I helped him create the deformation definition and it is a very simple one (one of the tubes is definable).
The assembly contains several of the same parts deformed the same way in a linear pattern.
I instructed him to...
It can also happen going from say an E size to an A size. In this case, I would drag the text near the drawing origin in the bottom left corner before copying.

We used the master model concept in Native previously. We have a customized BOM per sheet and the sheets follow work centers. ie: laser, fabrication, assembly. We make separate specifications for each drawing and they are all under one item in Teamcenter.
