it is not correect to say that each CAD system runs under linux, except CATIA. There are many others which do not run under linux.

Spartan, in fact I can't recommend any of the english books. I know only one of them: Advanced CATIA V5 Workbook - Konwledgeware and Workbenches. I was disappointed about that book because I'd expected more about Knowledgeware.

did you look at Hanser's homepage? There are several books about CATIA. I think your first language is German so tat you can read them.

Catiajim hasn't forgotten that. Most of the time V5 exists you could't relink a drawing to another part with a "wrong" UUID.
This method is for urgency cases, not as a method for standard use.
