Question:
We are in the process of currently having a skid package that is undergoing the rigorous TSSA inspection. The inspector asked to see the CRN number of the pump, I had been operating under the assumption that CRN Registration did not apply to the pumps.
Could some knowledgable person...
This is an incredble site.
The suggestions just keep pouring in!!!
Thanks to all who responded, your advice is very very very much appreciated!!!
(PS made me look smart in the boardroom!!!)
Look for my thread regarding CRN- Numbers and how they apply to pumps or do they?
Thanks guys!!
Yes the flows are too small to apply the standard velocity principles, so it's nice to get some experienced input. My biggest concern was not being able to fill the pipe up on horizontal flow as I would have to maintain a "set" pressure. I based my size on the pump size which in...
How do you determine inlet Line Size for very low flows, especially for metering pumps. system needs to be able to do 82 Liters/hour. For that matter how do you size a discharge line at this low flow? Velocity is certainly not an issue, what is the rule of thumb?
What if any are the alternatives to using a "Calibration Column" on a piping system? The method just seems to be a little archaic for our times.
On that note, would anyone know of any Calibration Cylinder manufacturers or distributors, and would anyone happen to know if CRN registration are...
This isn't Engineering related but since I talk to you people on a regular basis I thought you might be able to help. Would anyone know how to remove surfsidekick from ones PC?
And on that note would anyone be able to tell me what exactly needs to have CRN on a piping system under the Pressure Boilers and Vessels act, is it just the piping and components? Anyone know the exemptions?
I have to thank you TBP, you just may have saved my job here, I informed our customer of this and they are looking into the use of the of the Backflow device!!!!
Thank you sir!!!!!!!
