"1. 25MM diameter hole with the phrase "N°7 FORI" next to it. I understand the FORI relates to the ±0.2mm on the drawing, but what does the N°7 mean?"
FORI = Holes thus the note = 7 holes @ 25mm.
I too have just started being exposed to drawings from Italy on a new project.
Hello, perhaps you have access to 3DX?
This functionality seems to be added to part design app.
Maybe it will arrive in V5 as well.

Extract the surface with all the holes then use the Untrim feature.
I believe this to be the quickest way in 3dexperience or V5 but dont have access to V5 to confirm.https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=e1fc1ee2-0a50-4043-906c-5a634cb29b04&file=SnipImage.JPG
Thank you Ferdo
For anyone else that might need it the file is now called "GSD_PointSplineLoftFromExcel.xls" and I found it in the location C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B421\win_b64\code\command
Thanks again.
Hi All
In the Catia V5 help docs there is a MS Excel file "PointSplineLoftFromExcel.xls" that has a macro built in to allow for swift generation of points, splines & lofts in a Catia V5 part.
I am unable to find a similar tool in the online docs for 3DEXPERIENCE 2019x! So 2 questions arise...
Yes we generally used to create a circle that we can then add a diameter dimension to for our manufacturing and inspection processes.
Soon I will be on the 3DX platform.
Any idea if this better handled there?
It is removed for me as well :(
I also had a shortcut to the page on my mobile, but the page no longer exists.
I get the following error there "Server Error 404-File or directory not found"
Greetings All
Is it good practice to attach a 2024 T3 doubler to 2024 T42 skin?
Should I be using 2024 T42 for the doubler as well?
Are there any major errors of using the dissimilar sheets?
Thanks in advance
Greetings all
I have a parasolid assy consiting of sheetmetal parts created in solidworks (customer data).
The default behaviour of SolidEdge is to use the ".par" template to create the solid edge part files that make up the assy.
I would like to get SolidEdge to create the assy using the...
I would create a part that represents a sphere.Create an intersection curve passing through the centre plane, then Add a point using the extrenum feature in gsd.
Next I would place points on the freeform surface part wherever the gauge points would touch.
Then in assembly use a coincidence...
I would like to extract all dimensions from a sheet and list them in a table.
Currently I able to do this manually by double clicking a text box and then selecting a dimension to have its value appear.
I have little experience with macros but I don’t know I would start this.
Any help would be...
