Logo disappearing from drawing templates. Why?

It won't save in a PDF, but I didn't try printing it directly.

Logo disappearing from drawing templates. Why?

It seems graphics related, but it occurred on two different machines (both Dell Precision laptops, but with different Nvidia cards). It also persists when the file is reopened.

Can the plane Orientation be changed on an existing part?

If it's imported you could just rotate it with a move body feature.

Logo disappearing from drawing templates. Why?

It was inserted into the format. I can get it to reappear if I load another format and then the original. It hasn't disappeared again.... yet.

Logo disappearing from drawing templates. Why?

I've inserted a TIF into a drawing template. It seems to occasionally disappear. The box will be there and I can edit the size and transparency options, but no image is displayed. Is the image part of the format or is it a lost reference to the original graphic file? I'm using 2008.

Snap Fit Designs for Plastic Injection Molding

I don't recall if he covers crush pins in the book. It's essentially molding a close fitting pin and socket on the opposing parts. Small ribs are molded into the pins to create an interference. If done correctly the pins will break before they can be pulled from the sockets. Assembly of the...

Snap Fit Designs for Plastic Injection Molding

John, That's an excellent book and will answer all of your questions. Other places to look for information are the various plastic design guides put out by the resin manufacturers (the old GE one was pretty good if you can find it). Snaps with no action will probably require bypass shut-offs...

    New Tech Motorcycle or BS

You're not alone, naturalextraction. Perhaps I had set my expectations too high after reading the earlier comments, but the rendering looks like C level student ID work. Motorcycles, bicycles, and chairs... seemingly every design student in the world has tried putting their stamp on one of...

    Syringes

How are the internal zero draft surfaces of parts like disposable syringes molded? Is it just a stripper plate or is the tool and ejection more complicated?

    Material Selection

TheMotionGuy, I can't help you with the suitability of laser cutting, but I have some ideas for the heat. You might be a little close Tg-wise for polycarbonate, but if you can add some glass it might be close enough. My next choices would be Ryton (PPS), Ultem (PEI), and Radel (PPSU).

Does anyone have a link to a supplier of wing blank stock

Dave, If you're not concerned with efficiency you could use pretty much any section, even a flat sheet of 1/2" plywood and be safe for this application. Just make sure it's bolted down. I currently have a 6' section of Cessna wing attached to the roof of my Civic and crosswinds are not a...

    2 orthogonal screws

baumisf, The second screw will overconstrain the joint. You'll get some additional pressure in the joint space, but it will be impossible to predict how the screws are carrying the load. Furthermore, once the bone resorbs (assuming this in vivo) the two screws will serve to hold the joint...

Former employer is my first client

A 3X multiplier is the number I would expect for an established firms, not someone working out of their basement. It's the number I would expect your former boss's company to be charging their clients. If he's selling you're services for $70/hr you will obviously not get him to pay you more...

    Reaction Loads on Bent Hose

Twoballcane, I believe that CarlB's calculation will give you the force required to keep a rigid pipe elbow in place, not the force required to keep your hose from straightening itself. I don't know the right answer, but my approach would be to think about the volume change that the hose...
