Can the BIL of individual capacitors be added together in a series group to give a larger overall BIL rating for the entire group to enable lower voltage capacitors to be used?
Does this refer to section 310.1 when it states that these requirements of section 310 do not apply to conductors that form and integral part of equipment?
I cannot find any reference in the NEC that excludes the connection between a close coupled disconnect switch and a transfomer with primary voltage larger than 2000V. I cannot recall seeing any field installations that have shielded cable connections between the disconnect and the transformer...
Does anyone know if there are any courses available for the SKM transient stability module? If not could anyone sugggest some other courses that could assist with theory of transient stability analysis and computer modeling?
Sorry, I should have shown the data for the motor and the voltage to be used at. 2500HP motor, 13.2KV. How do I go about getting an ohmic value reactor size to be used for reduced voltage start?
I am doing a motor starting study and with Full Voltage start I am getting around a 12% drop at the bus. I want to do a reduced voltage start with series reactance, could someone give me some assistance on how to go about sizing the reactor to reduce the voltage drop.
Thanks
