Macro to Save, Print, and Close file

I'm looking to see (before I jump on in) if there is a way to have a macro in EXCEL save a file, print the file, and then close the file. Is this something that can be done through a macro? TIA! ~Boottmills

    renaming files

I know that there is probably no easy way to do this, but I'm looking for one! I need to take an assembly (about 180 different components and sub assemblies) from a company we bought a product from and rename all of the files with our part numbering system. Is there an easy way to do this? I...

    Break Sharp Edges note

Just heard back from the vendor - here is the response from their engineer: "I'm not exactly sure what this means as well, I would just call this out as 'break all sharp edges'." ARE YOU KIDDING ME! This is his drawing...his signature is on it as the engineer! Thanks for your help guys...

    Break Sharp Edges note

Drawoh, I can't make sense of it either! It's not my note! KENAT, I have an e-mail out to the vendor for a couple of days now...I think they are avoiding me. I was thinking that it may just be someone not knowing how to use a ° symbol while typing...but want to be sure. Glad to see that I'm...

    Break Sharp Edges note

I'm trying to see if anyone can interpret what a note I have on a vendor drawing actually means. "BREAK ALL SHARP (90% OR SMALLER) EDGES OF ALL SHEET METAL." I've never seen the note stated that way before. Any idea what it is requesting? ~Boottmills

    Welding callout question

I have a small plate that is currently being welded onto a sheet metal part to act as a recessed face for a control panel to sit so it is flush with the sheet metal part. The part is called out to use a spot weld on the drawing, but a tack weld could be used as well and it would not effect...

    Forming PTFE tubing

So I am not very familiar with PTFE tubing, but I have an application that requires the use of PTFE tubing and since it is not very flexible, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a way to possibly form it using heat (bath vs heat gun) and what to possibly look out for (besides Teflon Flu)...

    Hole pattern dimensions question

Thanks for your help folks! I agree with using a positional tolerance and will eventually move that way, once I convince my boss that GD&T is not as scary as it looks. I wish I could show you how horribly these are dimensioned currently...Ordinate dims mixed in with pitch dimensions on the same...

    Hole pattern dimensions question

I have a flat sheet metal part with 2 different size hole patterns. One is a .75 hole in a 9x6 array with a large tolerance, the other is a .177 fastener hole in a 3x5 array with a tight tolerance. Some of these holes are in the same ordinate plain and I am having difficulty figuring out how I...

    What is 6 - 1 x 0 + 2 / 2 ?

The one thing that scare me most about this, is how many of the people on the facebook thread (which I believe is where this originated from) are getting the answer incorrect. That's the future of our world folks... Boottmills

    Command Window blackout!

I recently printed a drawing to a PDF using draftsight and after it finished my command window was completely blacked out. Has anyone else run into this? Anyone have any ideas to fix it? I can still type my commands so I know it is working, but the text is black. Boottmills

    Internal transfer?

Internal opportunities are there for people to move on and help to grow the company. I wouldn't look at doing this as a negative - they would not have posted the positions internally if they are not thinking that someone inside may fit the requirements. Does you boss know of your desire to move...

Hello Paolo, welcome to Eng-Tips! I have a couple of questions for you. What is the application for this tool? Are you just using it to predrill the hole with the 8.5 and complete it with the 31.5 or is it for a 8.5 hole with a 31.5CB? How well does your shop adhear to feeds and speed...
