Probably the mouse itself. My mouse at home has started doing the same thing randomly. Even drag and drop is affected. If I pound the buttons hard they still work though. Swap out the mouse and see if it's better.
Just make a sketch that puts a point at the intersection of the two lines. Then dimension to it. The point will not show up when you print it even if it isn't hidden.
Ideally you would sketch two lines showing the intersection and how the dimension is generated to that intersection, but...
Use Solidworks Explorer. When you get to the part in Pack and Go where you select the assembly, uncheck the parts you want to leave in their original locations. The new assembly will then reference the old components.

Our assemblies use common components. If someone edits one of those components, many assemblies are affected. Does PDMworks offer a way to see what assemblies are affected, or better still, flag those assemblies somehow or provide a list of them that we can use to rev all...
Is there a way to disable this or extend it out to several hours? I usually get it within ten minutes of beginning a new assembly. It comes back frequently, well before an hour has elapsed.
