Hi
i have a doubts as im monitoring this gear box i have the follwing data
400/800 HP
450/900 RPM INPUT
20/40 RPM OUTPUT
22:1 REDUCTION
is there a way of finding the teeth number on each gear?
i have data results (FFT)...
thankyou very much (Reb,Hatch, sack ..all)for your answers it was very helpfull
i have another doubts as im monitoring this gear box i have the follwing data
400/800 HP
450/900 RPM INPUT
20/40 RPM OUTPUT

Hi all
can you please tell me if i can get the diameter of a gear by knowing the number of teeth.
and is there a site where can i get more info a bout gears
Thankyou.
HI
1)cheking the the rest of the information today
I got this, the first side band at the input shaft
a)2636 Hz,2880Hz both at the same amplitude
b)5390Hz, 5645Hz again both at the same amp
and the third SB
c)8347Hz,8095hz
d)yes the driver machine is a turbine
2) yes the AMPLITUDE of the...
hi
i would like to get your input on this
i'm monitoring a gearbox with an input shaft of 7525 RPM
output shaft 1800 rpm with a 4,181 gear ratio
22/92 teeth
last time i have run analysis on this gear box i got some reading on the FFT for input shaft of 251 Hz,502 Hz,751Hz,
i got almost the same...
Hi
try this link it’s an easy on line tutorial in a general way to vibration

i hop this will help

Dear mzl
Have a look at this site, there are some good information and basics about vibration .
good luck

when you say you want to monitor the behaviour of the wheel , i think you should take into consideration the vabrational behaviour of the traction motors and gearboxes
Then i would monitor the Low Speed Gear, Front and Rear axle
high Speed Gear, Front and Rear axle, traction Motor, Front...
Dear kashyap
see if those websites would be of any help to you if you need more info let me know.

Hi Hatch.Noise
zooming in on the fft the only sideband freq nearrer to the
(1458+17 1458-17) i found 1485hz and 1440hz but in very low Magnitude.
the 17Hz Harmonics i still puzzling me even tough it seems to be related to the output shaft
vibration seems to be higher in the input shaft...
hi Hatch,Noise thanks for your shared information
i spent my day yesterday getting the data of that unit ..
the gear ratio of is 7.12 to 1
25teeth on the gear on the input shaft
the input speed is 3500 cpm/rpm / 58Hz
178 teeth on the gear on the output shaft, having the GMF
about 1456 Hz...
