Well that's a good question that I have no idea how to answer. Is there some way to quntify the performance of this stuff? Here's what I do know:
This is a visual imaging app. where an image from an LCD is reflected and magnified several times. Right now the retrofeflector causes the image to...
looking for sheet retroflectors. all the stuff we've found is for the safty/automotive industry and not of good enough quality for our app. an body know of anyone making better stuff for 'scientific' or display applications?
thanks.
What equipment do I require to measure the polarization characterisctics of sheet linear polarisers and retarders? Most of the equipment I find is for electro optic applications for communications etc.
I've actually done this. A piece of DBEF between two retarders more or less does what we need. However, the error in most wave sheets means that the polarization state of both the reflected and transmitted light is not very 'clean' after passing through two retarders. If you take two pieces of...
There's several shareware programs that convert any dwg (autocad2000 or otherwise) to DXF that can then be opened by R14 or whatever (then saved as R14). Very useful since it does so outside of autocad- no need to have 2000, no need to try to get a 2000 dwg 'saveas' an R14. One's called...
someone else told me to try soldraw- I geuss I was waiting for one more person to push me over the edge. Do I still have to keep track of the individual scales in the viewports?
thanks, Bruce
Figured out the background issue, but nothing I did would result in the appearance of viewport objects in the output. Finally, I found that if I exploded the PV- and PH- layers within the viewports and then mvoed them somewhat then they showed up- weird...
I've taken the advice above and am just...
Ottopdf doesn't have any options for picking a window to print etc. Downloaded ViewCompanion, created a .PLT file. ViewCompanion wouldn't open it ('format not recongnized'). What now? using R14 on windows '98....
Thanks. I have ottopdf. Problem is that it simply creates a file based on the portion of my DWG. that appears on screen when autocad opens it. How would I select the view that gets converted? When making a tiff or bmp it's via 'plot to file' so I can select a window...
This is killing me... Need to distribute drawings for viewing and not editing. Loaded 'Raster file export ADI 4.3' to create tiff files (using R14). The default settings for the printer config create a tiff with a black background/ white lines. The tiff is otherwise fine with everything visible...
Has anyone come across a sheet polarizer that transmits one direction of circularly polarized light while reflecting the other? 3M makes one (DBEF) for linearly polarized light and I've heard that Merck makes one for circularly polarized light but I haven't been able to find any.
thnaks in advance
I use solprof while in floating model space to creste pv- and pf- layers of the 3d solid that are then dimensionable in paper space. Everything's fine except when I go back to tiled model space all the new pf- and pv- layers are all over the place making work on (or just viewing) the original...
