I have a fixed speed motor with a fluid coupling connection to compressor shaft. Variable speed is achieved by scoop tube fluid level control.
Can the motor can trip on high power due upsets on process side given that the torque transmission is through a fluid coupling ?
What is the difference between rated power and design power in a pump performance curve?
In general what is the difference between "rated" and "deisgn" ?
What happens when the suction pressure is higher than discharge pressure in case of a PD rotary blower with the motor switched off? Will the blower start rotating and deliver gas (based on the resistance to flow through the bower)? Or will will the suction pressure buildup and no gas is let out...
In a mechanical draft cooling towers, can there be a serious contribution from sensible heat transfer between air and water under any conditions? Or is the heat ransfer largely due to evaporation only?
