    Data Logging Question

I use the Arduino with ethernet shield to log data, then send it along to a server on querying the embedded web server.

Correct Setting For Short Circuit Instantaneous Protection in Induction Motors

CEC provides for increasing the setting of an inverse time breaker for hard starts, but is silent on such an allowance for instantaneous breakers.

    Motor Overload Relay Resetting Opinions

yes it is industry standards to monitor the aux contacts, and break your latch logic accordingly.

    small low cost PLC options

sounds like a possible solution is an embedded micro, depending on your I/O drive requirements

Simulate loading a variable displacement pump

for hydraulic top drives we'd stack 6 pumps behind a 1200hp diesel. Watch your ability to dissipate the heat.

    Flow

the fluid with the least energy gravitates down. Only when their energy levels increase would they rise.

    wire marking system

looking at investing into a shrink sleeve portable printing system. Can anyone reflect on their experiences. Application is largely control / PLC wiring.

Can you run 4-20mA analog & 125VDC contact sensing circuits as shielded prs in same multipaired

I reread and see it's DC running alongside. You should have no problem as the most basic filtering will likely suffice.

Can you run 4-20mA analog & 125VDC contact sensing circuits as shielded prs in same multipaired

500' feet is a long parallel run. Your looking for trouble. However, your translation to output can be effectively filtered with many controllers. Mind code as cables within a conduit must not be from seperate sources.

    comm check

Nice overview, thanks. would not all protocols improve in a TC/IP wrapper?

What tolerances can I expect from a local machine shop?

CNC, yes, manual, not likely. What normal?

    O ring Lubrication

Static rings need a complete coating to allow them to conform in thier glands. Dynamic rings as well, but in addition, lubricant throughout thier travel. This may mean a resivoir of some fashion. On the other side, excessive lubricant may be problematic. Condiser the operational requirements of...

    CSA circuit breaker standards

absolutely. In that case it's multiple motors on a single O/C, each requiring O/L.

    comm check

I'm digging deeper into this PLC thing and reading about various serial busses. DeviceNet, ControlNet, /IP. Which is leading the way and which has better performance under remote I/O connections. Anyone offer a generalization where one exceeds over the other.
