Hi,
Can anyone help me Re the parameter menu is on the Tasc6000 control
Even within the service menu there is nothing regarding parameters, more specifically just need to make a small change to an axis on the gauge
Thank you
When is cutting good check the chiller temp.
Also do a nozzle tape shot when you know the cut is good.
When it starts cutting bad check the chiller temp again (is it the same temp)
When it starts cutting bad quickly check the check the nozzle shot again with tape (compare the good & bad nozzle...
Glad to see it resolved, what initiated unplugging JA6 to begin with? Was there another issue that you resolved in this fault finding process that you didn't note?
Thanks
From Amada documentation (there is no reason for me to doubt these values)
This signal should be 8.9V at nozzle gap
with 2.0mm, 0V with 1.5mm, -8.9V with 2.8mm
Have you tried testing the head with the aluminium function selected? this function enables a slow response mode on the HS98.
Might or...

Check & advise
Carefully Do this check, what happens?
G32 R_ ; Z-axis follow mode ON
G33 ; Z-axis follow mode OFF
R_ indicates a nozzle gap amount. For example, when R=1.5, the nozzle gap is 1.5mm.
When R=0.3...
If it's the newer control it's just a parameter.
If it's the older AMNC control (just the touch screen panel) it needs a firmware update (very difficult)
If you already bought it then you might need to learn Japanese, it's probably easier than getting the firmware files.
You need to vac it down to 2 torr, turn the vac pump off.
Check it after 10 minutes, if the vacuum has not leaked more than 0.3 torr then it's ok.
I would check the vacuum pump, that oil should not be there especially if the hose goes straight to the resonator cavity.
vladz21,
If you can get you hands on a 3.75" lens you should try that, we have cut 1050 aluminium with pretty much the same settings as 5005 & did not have any of the issues you are seeing.
Order the lens holder from Amada, about $300 or machine up a threaded spacer to lengthen the 5" lens...
One more thing, any chance the have the lens focal length mixed up?
In other words could you have the 7.5" in the head instead of the 5".
Check it please.
Correct convex come at the top.
with the sot burr adjust your focus up 0.3mm then test cut, if it improves adjust it another 0.3mm & keep doing so until either it gets works or the cut is acceptable.
If you still have the reflection problem then try & watch your power meter & see if the power...
Strange, I will ask a bunch more questions
Did you see any evidence that the beam is actually coming our of the head and bouncing off the surface?
Silly question, is your lens upside down?
Are you using a single point nozzle?
Can you please test again with a nozzle gap of 2.0mm
Are you getting...
Check your focus again, on your other post the B Axis travel when you run your focus program seems too large.
If your focus program only did 10 cuts and you start at B5.0 & ended at B15.0 that's incrementing
1mm per slit. It really needs to be 0.2mm per slit.(you might be a couple of mm out)...
