NX - Location of all Keyboard Shortcuts

Menu -> Information -> Shortcut Keys will give a list of all keyboard shortcuts in the information window. Anthony Galante Senior Support Engineer NX9 to NX2306 (14 versions) installed.

    Install stand alone dongle.

Install NX, when prompted for a license server, enter in the full path & filename of your license file. e.g: c:\licensefiles\licensefile.lic (the file extension can be .txt, .dat or .lic it doesn't matter as it's a text file anyway). Also make sure that this license file is put in a location...

NX2027 - Finding a command in the Menu?

When you've done a search, switch to the Search tab (see image) and make sure it's displaying Commands, not All. This will then show the path to the command and make it available if it's in the role you are using. Anthony Galante Senior Support Engineer NX9 to NX2212 (13 versions)

    wave link shortcut

It was removed as of NX1926: The common Wave context commands had been removed from the modeling object sensitive context menus in NX1926, e.g. <Link to Work Part> or <Link and Extrude>. According to Development, shortcut toolbars, menus, and radials have grown a bit out of control so they...

    Blend Corner

In regards to tokens, not all functions are available via token licensing. In Crocostimpy's case, they would need nx_freeform_2 to use Blend Corner. This isn't covered by tokens. Menu -> Help -> About NX, then scroll down the information window that appears. There will be a section for NX...

    History Pallet Location Environement Varaible

You can't change the history palette on it's own, it's contained in the file history.pax which lives in your user profile. Below is copied from the help: Changing the default directory of user customization files If you want to use user-defined customization files saved on your system, point...

NX2027-Center of mass in information window

I tested in NX2027.3102 and NX2027.4060. It works properly in NX2027.4060 so I presume it's a bug in the earlier release. Anthony Galante Senior Support Engineer NX9 to NX2212 (13 versions)

NX2027-Center of mass in information window

I just tested in NX2027.4060 and the results are correct, the results between the popup & the information window are the same. Anthony Galante Senior Support Engineer NX9 to NX2212 (13 versions)

    Blend Corner

I just tested in the same, older (NX9) & newer versions (NX2212) and all are the same. To use Blend Corner, you need nx_freeform_2 in your license/bundle. NX91110 is a Mach 1 Design Bundle and has never had that as part of the bundle. If you used Blend Corner previously and it worked, it's more...

NX modeling principal plane of an assembly too stretched

@Paotr If you're able to, upload the file here I can take a look at it. Otherwise I can arrange a link for you to upload to. Anthony Galante Senior Support Engineer NX9 to NX2212 (13 versions)

NX modeling principal plane of an assembly too stretched

@Paotr I understand that your issue is that when you do a fit, it zooms out from what you're working on? The planes you refer to are just a way of seeing where the origin is. Did you try the suggestion #9 in the PDF you refer to (I wrote that by the way). What I would suggest is to switch...

Change name of parts in assembly with 300+ parts

Attached is a Excel file (with a macro built in) which will create a Assembly Clone log file. This log file can be used with the clone dialog in NX, to specify the names for parts when cloning. There's a Powerpoint that goes with it. I didn't create it, but found it a few years back. To me...

    visibility in blend command

@moog3 I think what you're after is the See-Thru Style (see image) in Preferences -> Visualisation, there's 3 options to try. Anthony Galante Senior Support Engineer NX9 to NX2212 (13 versions)

    command search

Don't select the command. Instead click the magnifying glass in the search bar, this will bring up the new search. Change the selection from All to Commands, then highlight the command and it will show where in the menu or toolbar it can be found (see image). Anthony Galante Senior Support...
