Referencing table of datums, views, and sections on multi sheet technical drawings

Then I just make the tables and references the way I like them. :-) Make my own company standard. But for me it IS rocket science. Actually. Tanks for the suggestions and answers. Anders

Referencing table of datums, views, and sections on multi sheet technical drawings

Ok jaceb, then my memory was kind'a right. Except possibly for the table of datums. Is it possible for you to share a detail from such a drawing, only showing the formatting of the text at these section references? Regards, Anders

Referencing table of datums, views, and sections on multi sheet technical drawings

Hi all, (This question is also in this thread: thread561-482647 on this site.) On large format multiple sheets drawings of large and complicated component I have seen som reference tables on sheet 1. The tables listed where on the drawing the actual section views and datum references where...

    Generate Tractrix geometry in NX

If I could have NX to make a expression controlled 'Face blend' from the given expression, I would be happy. No need for the curve, a 'Face blend' will do the trick. Regards, Anders

    Generate Tractrix geometry in NX

Hi, I've been asked if NX can generate a geometry that's is a ''tractrix''. Ref this wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tractrix The geometry is a variant of ''surface blend'' controlled by an expression. This one: x=t-\tanh(t),y=1/{\cosh(t) x=t-\tanh(t),y=1/{\cosh(t). ( from the...

Sort and edit of XML Materials library

OK, I found Microsoft XML Notepad 2007 Version 2.5. But the job editing the XML file is still a very manual time consuming job. I hoped to find a "database"-like software, but still no luck. Anders

Create JT files for all components of an assembly?

JohnRBaker, For now? Setting of the prameters manually? Or the need for setting them at all? This should not have been a case at all. The model, faceted or not, should have been behaving the dame way on the drawing. Always room for improvement in everything. ;-D

Create JT files for all components of an assembly?

hudson888 and JCBCad, Sorry about the fuzzy question, but what I really wanted to do was to create a faceted rep set in the partfile as you suggest. And THAT can be forced by the refile_part command in NX6 "Command prompt" environment. But there are som issues still with drawings and faceted...

Create JT files for all components of an assembly?

Hi, We have just "discovered" JT format in NX6. And our old parts does not contain the lightweight reference set. How could we with minimum effort create JT format for a given assy containing sub-assys an parts? Or is the only solution to open an save every single part with the "Save JT format"...

    Autoclave Engineeers Medium pressure port

John, Yes, I know this document, but it doesn't state any tolerance for angles, diameters, depths or surface finnishes. So when we recieve a manufactured part from a sub supplier we hasn't any limits to check it against. Anders

I have contacted both Autoclave and Snap-tite by mail about this, but the response so far is none. Or is phone the only way to contact them? ( To get a answer, I mean.....)
