If you don't have a 3D model in your assembly you can import an image on the dwg.
Command: Menu -> Insert -> Image
This will allow you to insert a jpg, png or tif images.
You can then resize by dragging the corners to fit the area you need. You might keep the "aspect ratio" locked when...
Carlos,
Yes, you are correct in the modification of the "transform" feature.
You will need to use "Move Object" now (Menu -> Edit -> Move Object) or <Ctrl T>.
I was not happy initially when this occured but it is a more powerful form of moving objects and can be associative if needed.

We are looking for a company to provide in-house training to refine our methods, possibly, the way we design/detail our products.
I have searced this site and found the below options.
1. Design Visionaries (they have good feedback from eng-tips users)
2. Siemans
Does anyone have any other...
I actually have several components of several asm's that are the same. I was just trying to simplify my question a little.
Anyway, I thought about using the copy/paste within the ANT window, which would work but would disassociatte my dimensions on my dwgs.
I found a little faster way to use...
I need to replace a component that is used in several assemblies.
I opened up all the asm's. I replaced that one component, but it only occurred in the asm I was working on at the time.
Is there a way to replace that one component in all the asm's that are opened up?
Thanks,
Allen

Export a CGM of the dwg you want to import on another dwg.
On the file you want to import to, create a new view in the modeling application, for example "test".
Switch to Drafting and add the view "test" to your current drawing. You might make sure the CGM is only on one specific layer so you...
Lorenolepi,
You could create a JPEG of each timestamp and insert into a drawing using "Insert -> Image".
We use this to place our products on an informative wall chart for quick reference.
It is not associative but you can get what you want.
Hope this helps.

Cowski,
I had to modify it a bit to incorporate my existing "StrInput" file. I was able to use the main portion and make it work for us.
Thanks a lot,
Allen

I was needing a command line to remove the beginning part of an output file currently being produced by our VB program. I am using a program that creates a PDF into a certain file structure. With recent filenaming sructure changes, I need to remove part of the output file. (see example below)...
Andy,
Instead of using 1 template dwg part and pulling in the 3D math data, which is what I think you are doing, we use "pattern"'s for our dwg borders. We also use a separate file, we call "template" file that just contains the text notes to modify and also the revision borders that need to...
I have a coworker that cannot get the "tracking bar" when using commands like "basic curves".
I cannot find any setting on where this might be. I know you can "hide" this bar by using MB3, but I do not want to do this on my setup. I wont be able to turn it back on if I do.
Look at the...
We are using a form of NEMO through our internal website. We have to login using our windows ID and Pwd to get there. This might be a problem, program wise, to use this application of NEMO.
Bottom line is we need to get good quality tif image with the genlst file placed in our TEMP directory...
I am sending all file translation points (PDF to TIF & TIF to TIF w/ (gen lst).
The "text" file has an extension of lst. This lst file is used by Cheops to know which tif image to get and where it is at, which is (C:/temp).
First we translate the PDF to TIF, using NEMO. Then we translate the...
