90 % of the time its the liner getting gunked up... try installing a wire kleener pad by Lube-Matic before it goes into the wire feeder should increase liner life and reduce burn back.
Ran an Optimo back in 96' for about 8 months. (Hope they made lots of changes to it) cause it was a tough machine to learn :-) but it had alot of innovative ideas back then
I do Prototype Automotive parts. We like to shoot for
.025 MM on Holes and cutouts at a Feedrate of 1500-2000 MM a min.
and .05 MM on Trim at 2000-6000 MM a min.
I have 12 years laser operating and maintaining experience. Mazak 5-Axis, Mazak 3-Axis, N.T.C. 5-Axis, Mitsubishi 3-Axis, Shibuya 5-Axis, Shibuya 3-Axis
Now it depends on how your going to run it (Online programming or Off-line programming)
Mazak is the best I've ran for online programming...
It depends on what kind of parts we're talking about for 3-Axis machine, tabs to hold part in place is the best way (per MazakMan) If we're talking 5-Axis machine I use either magnets on the fixture or De-Staco clamps to hold the part in place. it is a little more exspensive but you can cut it...
